Call Of Duty WWII confirmed by Activision

A few weeks ago leaks seemed to confirm that this year Call of Duty would be going back to its World War II roots, and Activision have now confirmed it. When Activision realized that the Modern Warfare angle wasn't cutting it anymore, they released titles like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare which changed the game's setting slightly.

If the promotional poster is to be believed, then the Call of Duty WW2 release date has been set for November 3.

Signs that the Call of Duty series was heading back to this period have been around since February when Activision CFO Thomas Tippl hinted at it during an earnings conference call. "New ways" to socialize with friend and the community as a whole is also promised. "Classic" Call of Duty combat is being touted and Activision is promising the "definitive World War 2 campaign".

"A next generation game with the latest production values and robustness in a World War 2 setting like Band of Brothers would be fantastic", he said. In any case, it likewise had a setting that didn't attract the greater part of the fans.
