First female usher in White House history no longer in post

A White House official confirmed that Reid is no longer working at the White House.

In his latest act attempting to purge the legacy of President Barack Obama from the White House and America, Donald Trump has fired chief White House usher Angella Reid, the first woman and second African-American to hold the position.

White House deputy press secretary Sarah Sanders said Friday that Reid left on good terms.

Among her responsibilities was overseeing all White House residence activities - coordinating staff as well as handling administrative tasks.

For instance, the South Korean conglomerate had launched a Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge version running the beta version of Nougat. These smartphones featured a premium build (thanks to HTC), and packed in stock Android with a few customisations.

While Sanders said it wasn't uncommon for staffs to transition between administrations, chief ushers typically hold their positions for longer tenures and through different presidencies.

Residence staff first learned of her firing when they arrived at work this morning. The White House declined to provide any specifics for the reasons behind Reid's departure. "They're implying I'm sharing family secrets, but the Bushes aren't running for anything", Emery told the New York Times at the time, adding that it was not unusual for ushers to take calls from prior administrations.

"I think it's best if the White House explains", was all Reid herself would say when contacted by the press about her notable absence from the residence staff. Reid was hired under President Obama in October 2011.

The chief usher in particular works closely with the president and his family.

Reid joined the White House from the Ritz-Carlton hotel chain. "Otherwise it comes off as cruel", said Brinkley.

Officials at the White House have not released any details about Angella Reid's dismissal.
