On Thursday, East Carolina head coach Scottie Montgomery visitied senior defense end Kiante Anderson's mother, Tia, at her work to deliver an early Mother's Day present.

Anderson is a local product, from Greenville, N.C., the same city where ECU's located. Not only will her son suit up for a Division I school for another season, but his education will also be provided.

Montgomery told Chapman about the scholarship before the coach and mother called the Pirates' newest scholarship player to tell him what he earned.
