Heavyweight boxing champ Deontay Wilder was arrested for marijuana possession Wednesday in Tuscaloosa.

Officers preceded to search Wilder's Cadillac after allegedly smelling marijuana; so say the Tuscaloosa police department.

He was initially stopped at McPharland Mall for what was supposed to be a window tint violation but it soon escalated once the drug was sniffed out.

Wilder received a traffic citation, and was charged with second-degree marijuana possession, a misdemeanor.

Gulf air embargo only applies to Qatar companies: UAE
The Eritrean Information Ministry's statement of support on Monday came despite its previously close ties with energy-rich Qatar. As a hedge, Qatar hosts some 10,000 American soldiers and the forward headquarters of the USA military's Central Command.

"A small amount of marijuana was detected in the vehicle and Officer Roach arrested Mr".

Wilder was never booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on the misdemeanor charge, but instead, bonded out at the Tuscaloosa Police Headquarters. He has held the WBC world title since 2015, when he defeated Bermane Stiverne. He is undefeated in 38 professional fights, winning all but one by knockout.

It remains to be seen however if this minor legal matter and more importantly the negative press it brings with it, will upset the conversation of a fight between the two champions.
