Harris was seeking to draw some honesty from Sessions when it was her time to interrogate the man.

"Can you give me a yes or no answer?" she asked. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.).

USA Today columnist Kirsten Powers, who was also on CNN's panel Wednesday, interjected after Miller said Sessions "knocked away some of the hysteria from Kamala Harris and some of the Democrats who wanted to make this a big partisan show".

Sessions should be nervous, because if there's any justice, Sessions and his boss will one day be on lockdown in one of the prisons they plan to send all the black folks, while Kamala Harris will someday become president of the United States. Harris was in the midst of pressing Sessions to name that policy, explain it, and say whether he's reviewed it since when Sen.

As Sessions chuckled at the commotion, Chairman Richard Burr (R-N.C.) said he would run his own committee but instructed Harris to allow Sessions to answer.

However, instead of "passionate", Harris is viewed as "combative" and "hysterical" - two terms used by political contributors and senators to describe Harris's method of questioning. And Sessions took memory loss to new heights, prompting The New York Times to ask in an editorial "How many ways are there to fail to answer a question under oath?"

Harris was asking about Sessions about the investigation into Russian interference with 2016 election results when Sen.

"Did you not ask your staff to show you the policy that would be the basis for your refusing to answer the majority of questions that have been asked of you?" she interrupted again. She said she made it clear to subordinates they will be judged partly on how many women and minorities they advance.

After playing back a clip from the week's Senate Intelligence Committee hearing where Harris attempted to expedite the questioning of Sessions, co-hosts of the show questioned whether or not it was "sexist" that Sessions' interrupted Harris's inquiries for the objective of clarity.

McCain complained that Harris was not letting Rosenstein answer, and Burr subsequently chastised her and cut her off. Harris did not smile back, except when she thought Sessions wasn't answering her questions directly. I don't really understand that. Sessions, for his part, attempted to ignore her rudeness and not make it an issue, although her demeanor made it obvious what she wished to achieve.

Sessions: - I'm not able to be rushed this fast.

Her dogged attempts at Tuesday's hearing into Russian-Trump connections to get Sessions to share what he knew and when he knew it once again turned a congressional session into a less than decorous brouhaha.

Senator Harris's accomplishments speak volumes.

Miller said he thought there was no real effort to get a real question answered. I don't think that Sen.

"I do want you to be honest", Harris said. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., spoke up.
