Miami Heat Rumors: Heat Interested in Veteran Big Man Serge Ibaka

Lowry announced his decision on The Players' Tribune.

The Vertical and other media outlets reported Lowry agreed to a three-year contract worth $100 million. The 31-year-old has aged like wine, averaging a career-best 22.4 points, 7.0 assists, and 4.8 rebounds in his 11th National Basketball Association season in 2016-17. If that is the case, one veteran big man on the market could become a target for the Heat: Serge Ibaka. Kyle Lowry over everything still exists for the Raptors. An average of $21.66 million per year is a heck of a lot of money for a big man who doesn't move with almost the same explosiveness that he used to, neither possessing the same degree of shot-blocking tenacity or rebounding that he did during his earlier years in Oklahoma City.

Such concessions could include returning two diplomatic compounds in the USA to Russian Federation or lessening sanctions . The bill passed two weeks ago 98-2 despite concerns raised by the Trump administration.

The team has also tried to get rid of DeMarre Carroll's contract, because Toronto will be into the luxury tax if Lowry returns as well, which remains the expected outcome.

"I'm sad that may people will have read a rumor and will have made a false assumption that can last forever, while they maybe will not read what I'm writing now".

White House says Assad may be preparing chemical attack
Russian Federation has supported the Syrian regime since 2015 with air strikes against what it says are Islamist extremists. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said Tuesday that Washington would continue to provide weapons after the Raqqa battle is over.

However, retaining him makes little sense if the Raptors do not intend to also re-sign Lowry, who shares an agent with Ibaka, because Toronto would be heading for a rebuild. Re-signing Ibaka and Lowry suggests Toronto will be back in the hunt for a top-four seed in the Eastern Conference next season.

Ibaka didn't call out any reporters specifically, but as Bleacher Report noted on Saturday, this week ESPN's Zach Lowe discussed the topic during an appearance on BR's "The Full 48" podcast.
