HTC Ocean Life Leaked Details Reveals Key Specs

HTC Ocean Life

HTC U11 Edge Sense is coming to HTC Ocean Life, a New Midrange Phone with 5.2-inch 1080p Display and Snapdragon 660 SoC

New reports have started circulating online claiming that the HTC company will soon roll out a new mid-range mobile device.

According to LlabTooFeR on Twitter, HTC is apparently working on a device codenamed "Ocean Life" that will bring a lot of what the HTC U11 offers but in a less expensive and smaller package. With the Edge Sense, you can squeeze the sides of the phone to perform actions such as opening an application, opening a virtual assistant, etc.

The leakster has shed no light on the pricing and availability of the HTC Ocean Life.

In terms of hardware, this HTC Ocean Life isn't going to wow anyway.

The device will boast a 5.2-inch Full HD display, layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and 2.5D curved glass on top.

As for specs, we know quite a bit: the phone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 SoC, which has been shown to offer surprisingly good performance for a mid-range chipset.

The new OTA update weighs in around at 295.17MB and is better to download it when connected to Wi-Fi in order to avoid unnecessary data charges.

Other than that, the upcoming HTC phone is speculated to arrive with pre-installed Android 7.1.1 Nougat Os layered with the company's own Sense 9 interface and Bluetooth 5.0.

Furthermore, the leak also says that the phone will come with HTC UltraSonic earphones bundled within the box. And it seems that they are looking forward to the launch of new smartphones in the coming days. The phone will also feature a fingerprint scanner and glass body at the back, same as the U11.
