A woman who said she ran into the woods to escape two men who were burglarizing a hunting lodge survived the Alabama wilderness alone for almost a month, surviving only on "berries and mushrooms", authorities said. After being treated at an emergency room, she was reunited with her family.
Lisa said she had tried to keep walking, but because of her hunger and exhaustion she was often following her own tracks. "So I went over to her and asked her if she would stay there while I get water out of my van".
Lisa was last seen on July 18 near in the community of Midway, about 35 miles southeast of Montgomery.
She told them she fled from the men because she did not want to be part of the robbery.
