Arvind Kejriwal's lost blue Wagon R car found abandoned in Ghaziabad

Based on CCTV footage from near the Delhi Secretariat - which had shown the vehicle being stolen on Thursday - the anti-auto-theft squad (AATS) of the central district is trying to identify the person who stole the vehicle.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's stolen blue Maruti Wagon R auto was found abandoned early Saturday in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, police said. Anticipating a reply, he said once his letter was made public, the Delhi Police would come up with statistics to try to prove that law and order was in control.

Arvind Kejriwal said in his letter to Mr. Baijal which reads,"My Wagon-R vehicle was stolen outside the Delhi Secretariat". Kejriwal had on Friday written a letter to Lt Governor Anil Baijal, saying the theft points towards the rapidly "deteriorating" law and order situation in the national capital.

Kejriwal's blue Wagon R was stolen on Thursday. "It went missing around 1 am", a senior police official said. It was donated to the Aam Aadmi Party by a supporter Kundan Sharma who moved to another country. The news had prompted many to question Delhi Police, which reports to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Even after Kejriwal became the chief minister in December 2013, he refused to use an official auto and preferred his old WagonR.
